I saw a photograph at a gallery in Barton under Needwood taken by John Cannelly in which he had position Victoria Beckham on a curved black chair against a shocking pink wall.   I thought the effect was eye catching so I decided I would try things/people against different backgrounds  I photographed the pink at the Statutes in Burton.  It was a piece of tarpaulin partly tied up.   I then took this photograph on the Ferry bridge and decided to try it against the pink.

Intriguing Things/Place

Intriguing Place 4

This tree looks like it should be in a Harry Potter film.  I spotted it walking through the woods near to Shobnall playing fields.   It was a windy, autumnal day.

Intriguing Things 8

This photograph was taken outside of college and is a lid to a cupboard of some kind.  The surface has obviously been used as a test for paints/sprays but just by looking at this you wouldn't know what type of surface or where.

Intriguing Place 3

This is a barber shop window which shows photographs of his many clients.  I have not yet done anything with it in Photoshop but I feel it needs doing something to it.   The cuts of the clients in the photographs are fabulous.    Also interesting is the fact that the word "shop" is back to front.

Intriguing Place 2

Taken in Shobnall on a wall titled Urban Jungle.  In the middle of a residential area.  The constrst of the blue door and the animals and also the road sign is to my mind intriguing.

Intriguing Place 1

I took this photograph in a ladies underwear shop.   I wanted to photograph the owner but she was reluctant so I made do with the shop.   I have taken the original photograph and Inverted it in PHotoshop as I felt the original was effective.   The whites lost detail, as did the blacks.   The other colours htough the detail can be seen i.e. the stripes, dots.  The original photograph is below

Intriguing Thing 6

This young lady was spotted at the Statutes.  I photographed her at this focal length and also a  longer one - i prefer this one though as her hand is larger and positioned differently

Intriguging Thing 5

This little piggy was at the Statutes - I did photograph his porky friends as well shown below

Intriguing Thing 4

I love this colour !  I have put two of my photographs onto this as a backdrop but I do love it on it's own.  It's a piece of tarpaulin that was used at the Statues recently.   I would even say it's fabulous !

Intriguing Thing 3

Is this intriguing?   Well, the grafiti on the tree is as it makes me think who has done it.   I photographed other parts of the tree as there was plenty to be read....

Intriguing Thing 2

If I saw this photograph hanging somewhere I would think "what's that?"    That to me is intriguing.   I photographed these spice jars again at work.   The colours are quite deep and all different.   I did photograph the whole jar but I feel this reflection version works.

Intriguing Thing 1

I took this photograph whilst working in the cafe bar on my evening shift.   I didn't actually see the shape that the jug kettles made until I had taken thephotograph but I feel the curves look heart shaped and it works.  I think the detail of the curves on the black jug kettle is lost slightly on the above picture but on the pictures below there is more detail however I don't feel the curve is as effective
